Sequel to Paranormalcy

So Evie got herself a lovely normal life and a sexy new boyfriend with not a drop of Faerie blood in him. Evie finds that a normal life may not be as exciting as she thought. She's given a chance to work for IPCA again and jumps at the opportunity to have a little action back, especially since she won't have to use Faeries for transport anymore. Although, the guy that leads her through the paths now might not be any easier to put up with. Though once Evie's back into the thick of things, nothing seems to go right. Then Reth shows up, and all his taunting about knowing who she really is turns into hard fact. She's been trying to keep things under control, but her boyfriend and the faeries aren't really helping make things normal. Evie may have to work a lot harder to get things back to something closer to normal for her.

So this one was even better than Paranormalcy. I thought Evie was even more fun and I love Lend. I found Jack charming when we were first introduced, but he was like a cat that keeps climbing back into your lap every time you throw it on the ground. He just started to be too much, but then he would be comforting, and then I wanted to slap him. It was really up and down with Jack for me. I really liked the new developments and never wanted to put this down. Everything was pretty chaotic with the agency and the faeries and even Evie's new town. Everything was just crazy. I wish a bit more had been resolved in this one, but I am super excited to find out what happens in Endlessly! Lend is still a really great guy, and I wish he was in this one a little more. Supernaturally was really about Evie finding herself and trying to figure out where she fits in the world. Of course, she has to do all this while paranormals attempt to kidnap, kill and eat her, but that's life. I don't think fans of Paranormacly will be one bit disappointed in this sequel.
First Lines:
"Oh, bleep. I was going to die."

Favorite Lines:
"'Girls are mean. At least faeries simply kill you if they don't want you around."

"'He said he was here to inspect the beds. I figured he was one of your old friends."

"Mmm. Cupcakes."

  3. Great review! Wished that there was more of Lend and less of Jack but the ending was touching between Evie and Lend.
